There will be 2 meters for the entire building. One meter is for the store-front, and the other meter is for everything else. Since much of the electricity can be generated with the solar panels, I will suspect that my electricity bill will be low. All appliances will be energy star compliant, and I will require myself to use LED bulbs which uses 40% of the electricity that a comparable CF bulb will use. It will be these little things that would hopefully make the building a net-zero energy building.
The electricity provider (owns the electrical lines) will be Duquesne Electric Company. I will choose the supplier that I feel will make the best interest for my needs. Since any supplier will work, this will likely cater to price, and values. I would be OK to pay a little more for renewable energy generation.
