Security will be taken into the modern era. It will be designed from the ground up to provide for as much security resources as possible. There is not much one could do, but there will be something. I will want to make sure that there is nothing overlooked, and everything is taken care of. There will be a few factors for security, and with that said, I will hope it will also reduce my insurance policy’s payment.
The first thing will be a Level Lock Pro. This lock will be for the apartment foyer and coming in from the public foyer. There will be a PIN pad for temporary grant of access. Also, each apartment will have a Level Lock Pro, but will not have a key pad. To use the lock, you can use an Apple Watch, a smartphone, or a key fob. This will eliminate the need for keys, and the electronic key can be revoked immediately – all without the involvement of a locksmith. In the case of the visitor, they will use their smartphone to access the 2nd floor apartment, and when they leave, the key will be revoked requiring adding it back if they should come to visit again.
There will be an intercom in the public foyer. When a visitor comes, they will select the unit number which will have a buzzer intercom by the door. The resident will answer the intercom, and if they let the visitor in, they will press the Door button for 5 seconds to grant access. In addition, each unit door will have a Ring Doorbell which will provide a level of control if necessary. The intercom can be turned off with a light switch that will be next to the intercom. This will allow for peace and quiet when you don’t want to be disturbed.
The next thing is security cameras everywhere. The only exception is private spaces such as bathrooms, and bedrooms. These cameras will have the video stored in a surveillance server which will hold videos for 6 months. If a bad actor got inside, they will be watched and monitored all the way through.
There will be an alarm system. The system will be active for both the apartment, and my residence. When someone comes to stay for a little while, they will select the PIN ahead of time. This PIN will be used to disable the alarm system when they enter.
