I am not a fan of smoking. In relation to my interference in smoking, nicotine pastes itself on the walls. A white wall can easily get a light yellow tinge to it, and it would be very evident that the person living in the apartment was a smoker. This is extra money in having to wash and repaint the walls. This costs money, and will otherwise be taken out of the security deposit. Rather than dealing with that mess, I will just prefer that the tenant does not smoke at all. Otherwise, I will have to wonder if they are actually going outside to smoke.
