Each residence will have a Tablo DVR that would connect the antenna to the appropriate network. A Tablo-4 DVR will be able to record 50 hours of 1080p television. Many station providers have sub-stations, and because of this, their normal resolution is 720p which will offer more hours of recording. There is no direct access to this Tablo as it resides in the communications room within the basement, and plugged into the appropriate switch. As long as the Tablo is plugged into the switch, the tenant can access it with their TV on the same network. This also reduces the chance of theft by a bad tenant.
This will mean that you can choose cable television, and still have access to all of the free OTA channels provided for by the Tablo. You would just select the Tablo TV app if you wish to watch OTA television, or watch recorded shows. This will be excellent if the cable TV provider does not support your preferred local station.
