Throughout the site, you would have seen mention for a Grandstream WP815. This is a wifi phone that supports 2 SIP lines as standard, however only 1 will likely be needed. Every room will have a WP815 for simplicity. Since all of the phones are the same, then configuring the phones would be easy enough. This will make life simpler for the IT Manager (myself). The WP815 will be a superb phone for residential use, and at an affordable rate too. Sometimes, you can find pairs for a cheaper price, and if this was the case when it comes time to buy – then that special will be taken advantage of.
The WP815 looks a lot like any other cordless telephone, but will use the wifi network rather than a base station. They have a charging stand, and that would plug the phone. Another advantage of choosing 1 phone is each phone can use the other’s charging stand. Now, it might be a little confusing to see all one lineup of phones, but each phone will display its extension number for calls. For example, the great room’s phone might show extension 101.
This will also teach a child how to use the phone properly. Nowadays, everyone seems addicted to their phones, and be glued to their screen when they should be occupied with something more important. The WP815 will not have apps, social networks, or games. By focusing the attention on the basics of calls, then there will be less attention to the smartphone hopefully.
