Floor 3

The third floor will be the 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a library. The front of the floor will be the primary bedroom. In the middle will be the library, linen storage, and a ¾ bathroom for the secondary bedrooms. In the rear will be the secondary bedrooms.

The primary bedroom will be larger than the other 2 bedrooms. It will also have an en-suite ¾ bathroom. The room will be large enough for a king size bed. On the opposite wall of the TV wall will be 6 RJ45 jacks in case I was to have a significant other, and she would need the 3 RJ45 jacks for her reasons. This could be something as simple as an ATA, NAS, and a spare jack for future upgrades. All other walls will have just 3 jacks which is standard. The closet will be a walk-in with 2 biometric safes that would be for me, and if I had a partner – her as well.

The secondary bedrooms will be the same size. There will be a closet with a biometric safe. Next to the closet, there will be the space for a full size bed. There will be 2 gangs of outlets, and 3 RJ45 connections. These connections can be used to support items that aren’t thought about, but will be important to the resident of the bedroom. An example might be a SIP phone, or NAS. If there should ever be a networked connected radio, then this radio can plug in here as well. Across from the bed will be the location for the TV. As with the great room, and primary bedroom – there will be 1 coaxial, and 5 RJ45s. Since the secondary bedrooms will be in the back of the building – this should reduce the outside traffic.

Since the library will be in the center of the floor, there will be no windows. There will also not be many books. If I had a family, every member will have an ebook reader so they can download books, and read them on the reader. The idea with the library is more so to have a place where children can study together, or gather to watch a movie using a projector. The fact there will be no windows will be ideal for movie viewing. There will be an ink-tank printer which will support for the family’s printing needs. The printer will also have fax capabilities, and will have its own unique fax number. There will also be a Grandstream WP815 phone which will be the same telephone number as the main floor’s telephone.
