There will be 2 meters for the entire building. One meter is for the store-front, and the other meter is for everything else. This is why electricity is included with the second floor rental. Since much of the electricity can be generated with the solar panels, I will suspect that my electricity bill will be low. All appliances will be energy star compliant, and you would be required to use LED light bulbs for lighting. It will be these little things that would hopefully make the building a net-zero energy building.
The electricity provider (owns the electrical lines) will be Duquesne Electric Company. I will choose the supplier that I feel will make the best interest for my needs. Since any supplier will work, this will likely cater to price, and values. I would be OK to pay a little more for renewable energy generation.
